Interesting, and you are clearly getting screwed. I don't know what Canada does tax wise tho.

Gas here in NJ has gone up from about $2.50 to $3 in the last couple of months, maybe quicker.

I allow, NJ has the lowest gas prices in the country and I have always attributed it to the refineries near Newark. No clue on that "why" otherwise because everything else in NJ is sky high !!! I suspect the huge container shipping hub in port Newark helps a bit in other areas - for example, I don't think food is too bad by comparison to other regions.

For some reason, I just think the "deep pocket players" are fixing to fatten their wallets in the futures markets.

Anyway, I can only watch and try to stay off of the RR tracks !!!
