Today's Market View - Grains and Meats

Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open Steady as of 7:15 a.m. CST
22 minutes ago

Corn: Corn staged an impressive rally Thursday on renewed buying from both sides of the market tied to the tightening global stocks situation.

Soybeans: Spillover support from the sharp rally in corn allowed bean contracts to close 30-plus cents off session lows, though a favorable weather forecast for Argentina could limit potential rallies.

Wheat: As with beans, wheat followed corn higher with additional support coming from the commercial side of the market.

Cotton: The nearby March contract finished limit up as this week's strong rally continued. Bullish fundamentals should continue to support the market longer-term.

Live cattle: Weaker cash prices pressured cattle throughout most of Thursday's session, though deferred contracts settled higher tied to the strong rally in corn.
