Hi James. I posted a chart of the SPX with FXI overlaid long ago not that anyone cared. Same as this in reverse. This is the FXI in black with the SPX overlaid in blue this time showing the same thing. Notice when all is well with the world the FXI and SPX track together. But 3 times over the last year the FXI sells off for weeks and weeks while the SPX keeps rallying like it doesn't need the FXI help. Unfortunately it does. Notice the red downtrending bars where this has occurred and within a few weeks the SPX sells off hard for some time. Even before the May/10 flash crash the FXI topped out in early April and sold off which was a few weeks 'before' the May flash crash. Same thing on the Jan to Feb/10 sell off and here we are again to extremes with the SPX soaring and the FXI selling off since early November! Looks like the SPX is about to be punished once again right after last Thursday's tag of DOW 12000 and SPX tag of 1300. The FXI has given a multi week advance notice of these corrections so far.
