Thanks for your responses to my continuing puzzlement. I hope I have not offended you in any way in my posts.

I believe I understand geometry and mathematics pretty well, and I share your admiration of those subjects. I am intrigued by the attraction (that's probably a better word than the word "magic" I used in my post) of the 45-degree angle, but I am still missing something.

If you are willing to suffer this fool a little further, would a 45-degree trend on a weekly chart be as significant as a 45-degree trend on a daily chart? On a 10-minute chart?
