Oilman,

I used point and figure for many years. Dating back to the 60's. The daily history was difficult to obtain, but for me I felt it was worth the cost. I have since retired and do not trade like I did up until the early 90's. At that time I switched to long term fudamentals, and standard bar charts for position timing.

If you are serious about technical trading I would strongly recommend point and figure for measuring objectives. Bar charts for trends, and identifying support and resistance.
