Interesting data

Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility does have total of 1760 tons of nuclear fuel on site, based on TEPCO facility owners.

According to AP there was at the time of the earthquake 3,400 tons of fuel in seven spent fuel pools plus 877 tons of active fuel in the cores of the reactors.

Chernobyl did have about 170 tons at meltdown time.

What need to be known is how much more plutonium is in those fuel rods as plutonium is added to enhance efficiency of fussion reaction and is more detrimental to public health.

Also why the exclusion zone is only 30 km from the plant, when risk to exposure is much greater now then when Chernobyl disaster happen.
