Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 9 to 11 Higher as of 7:15 a.m. CDT

Corn: Old-crop corn futures surged higher on renewed buying from both sides of the market tied to continued rumors of impending Chinese purchases.
Soybeans: The bean market would have closed lower due to a lack of fresh news if not for the spillover support from the sharp rallies in old-crop corn and wheat.
Wheat: Ongoing dry conditions in the southwestern Plains, flood concerns in the Northern Plains and a sale to China sparked a sharp rally at all three exchanges.
Live Cattle: A large increase in export sales to Japan from last week of about 2,500 tons sparked a sharp rally in cattle contracts Thursday.
Cotton: Robust export sales and continued strength in domestic mill consumption sparked follow-through buying from commercial and noncommercial traders as the nearby contracts closed near limit-up (7 cents).
