I am not disagreeing with you, as it may have happened and I simply do not recall. Or, it happened, prior to my birth, as I'm ONLY 57.

But when was there a treaty, or formal document of some sort, approved by the Senate of the United States of America (as all treaties must) wherein the United States of America made a formal commitment to do away with SAE and officially, by law, adopt that froggie metric system.

I ain't too fond of anything froggie, 'ceppin mebbe some of their wines ... so, once again ...

I am not disputing your statment. I am simply looking for the formal agreement, specifying metric.

Many thanks for your reply. I try to learn something new, every year (at my age ... that seems like the old "day").
