Re: It costs 50% more to make a dollar/l.i.a.b..

Hi, Trades.

I recall, in elementary school (remember, I'm old ... so humor me) that there was "talk" about "going metric". However, to the better of my knowledge, there was NEVER any agreement, formal or otherwise ... that the United States of America was to go metric.

In order to do so, that would require the passage of legislation (at least in "former times", wherein we were not ruled by fiat ... by the Administrative Branch's Departments).

So, if Canada did go metric, it had nothing to do with there being an agreement that the entirety of North America would be on the metric system.

Personally, I have a distaste for metric. I lived abroad for close to two decades and ... except when returning to our offices in the Marianas ... I had to deal with that stinkin' froggy system.

Perhaps Canada "going" metric had something to do with
Quebec?

In any event, to the better of my knowledge there was never any "agreement" for the United States of America to be forced into that stinkin' froggy system.

For better or for worse, the United States of America is not on the metric system. I am glad to deal with that.
