Oil settles at highest since September 2008 (by Claudia Assis)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures on Monday shook off weakness during early floor-trading hours to add 0.5% and settle at their highest in 30 months. Crude for May delivery (clk11) added 53 cents to settle at $108.47 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It was oil's highest settlement since Sept. 22, 2008, when it closed at $109.37 a barrel.
(Is it deja vu? Will we have a repeat of the spring/summer 2008 run-up this year?)
