SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures added to gains on Thursday after a weekly supplies report showed a lower-than-expected increase in inventories. Natural gas for June delivery (ngm11) added 14 cents, or 3%, to $4.54 per million British thermal units. It had traded at $4.48 per million Btus before the report. The Energy Information Administration showed an increase of 31 billion cubic feet for the week ended April 22. Analysts polled by Platts had expected an addition between 37 billion cubic feet and 41 billion cubic feet to storage facilities of natural gas around the country.
