Re: no more ethanol subsidy passes senate/Wayne/

I remember in the late 70's when there were gas lines that ethanol was being touted. It went no where at the time. I guess it may be working in Brazil because they make it from sugar cane and its supose to be better than corn.

Al Gore is cleaning up on this. He has invested quite a bit in green related companies as he tries to scare the world to death. In 2008 he bought 9.8% of a company that was able to trade in carbon credits. He sold in 2010 when the state of the economy over took global warming as the top concern. Imagine that companies and countries can buy and sell carbon credits almost like a commodity, and Al was well positioned to take advantage of it. However, its the economy that is front and center now. Big Al did say we should however change out our light bulbs to save energy.

An article in the Dallas morning news today talking about Obama's gaff on shovel ready projects. Was during or at a meeting of his job council. Below I am including the second last paragraph from the article by Jonah Goldberg.

For instance, you know where this jobs council meeting took place? At Cree Inc., and LED light bulb maker. Under the supposedly jobs-boosting stimulus, Cree received $5.2 million. According to Recover.gov, that $5.2 million created 3.02 jobs. That's $1,716,171 per job.

I have included a wikipedia link below on the banning of incandecent light bulbs. Think I'll go out and buy some today.

Also right below is wiki link on carbon credits and carbon credit trading.
