Here is the Weekly chart of Sugar. I used the continuous chart as you don't want contango and backwardation to influence the Weekly chart like it would with an actual specific contract. Note the 1980 high of just over 45 and not shown as it would reduce the size of the chart too much is the 1974 high of around 65. I recall that time and you couldn't find Sugar anywhere. I recall doing contract jobs years later and seeing 25lb bags of Sugar in garages and basements when bought out of fear back then. That fear mongering was what made the shortages extreme. I'll have to get someone to show me how to add stuff to my charts as just posting about it doesn't make sense when you don't know in the 1st place.
