Re: Gold question/Wayne

Hi Wayne,
Thanks !!

That's why I left it alone today, I couldn't figure out what it was going to do.. Go up a bit, then quickly turn and bite me in the butt !!!

If you look at what you wrote, you mention mini.

There are three contracts.

GCZ1 .........Full contract
YGZ11 .......The Emini - been around quite some time
MGCZ11.....New EMicro - only around about a year

Probably best to look them up for your platform as the symbols may be different.

The MGC is the one I like, but while watching, pay attention to the bid/ask streaming data.

You want to be careful near open/close of he market, you can get ripped off on the bid/ask.

I also only use "limit orders" for same reason.

Look at the "nasty gas mini" QGV11 Intraday chart for last couple of days.
Those big sticks dont happen often, but if you just put in a "market order" you could really get screwed". Enough said.

Interesting though, Gold now up to 1781 while we have been fiddling with this !!!!
Dx hasn't budged from the 74 area ??
Maybe the "gold bugs" really expect Bernanke to "unveil QE3" tomorrow !!!????
