May have something to do with a potential tropical development this week south of Louisiana. I'll update the tropical outlook later today as new model runs come in. Also, if the tropical development actually occurs (and its looking pretty likely) an additional affect of the storm later into the weekend and next week is the potential for serious floding rains over much of the shale-gas producing regions of the east as the storms tracks inland along the east coast once it pulls out of the gulf. I'm not sure what if any consequences would ensue from this but common sense tells me it will put a dent in shale gas production next week.
