Mark 13:30; Luke 1:48; 21:32; Phil. 2:15, and especially of those of the Jewish race living at the same period, Matt. 11:16, etc. Transferred from people to the time in which they lived, the word came to mean "an age," i.e., a period ordinarily occupied by each successive generation, say, of thirty or forty years, Acts 14:16; 15:21; Eph. 3:5; Col. 1:26;

Luke 21 Yet another Time Statement
20 “When you(Disciples) see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.
"22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written." NIV
That occurred in 70 AD, Vines Expository states that a generation back then was about 40
years, lets see, Christ Stated those words during his ministry say 30 to 33 ad,
they came to pass in 70 ad.
But according to most Christians this is still somehow a future event.
