Germany opposes EU draft on ECB bond buys: report (by MarketWatch)

FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Germany opposes a phrase in the draft conclusion for Wednesday's summit of European Union leaders that calls on the European Central Bank to continue buying bonds in the secondary market, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told reporters, according to a Reuters report. The draft statement said euro-zone leaders will call on the ECB to continue with "non-standard measures in current exceptional circumstances," Reuters said.
