Re: Trading Journal Question
In Response To: Trading Journal Question ()

The best trade journal I have ever had is a 3 ring notebook with a copy of the chart I was trading. I make a note on the chart of the date and time of my entry, the price and how many contracts, when it was filled, my protective stop, and if I"m going long or short. As the trade progresses, I note any buys or sells and new stop placements Each new event is noted on the chart. When the trade is closed I calculate the profit or lose on the chart. Than print the chart and add it to my notebook.

I wasted many hours writing in my journals when I started trading Because the course writers said I should. I have never found any value in doing it.
