EU to pursue deal without all members (by Sarah Turner)

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- The European Union will pursue an intergovernmental deal without all members, French president Nicolas Sarkozy said at a press conference Friday. "We're doing everything we can to save the euro," he said. Sarkozy was speaking at a press conference after a European Union summit. European Council President Herman van Rompuy said that members haven't come to an agreement on euro bonds but that euro-area member states will continue to work on fiscal integration. There will be an update on this issue in June, he said.
