Re: Presidential Cycle Not Bullish This Time

It's pretty much common knowledge that the Republican strategy to regain power is to obstruct anything and everything that could possibly help the country and make Obama look good. This strategy may well blow up in there faces considering that they are using this ploy in a time of economic depression when so many people are hurting and and the misery index is so high. It demonstrates that the Republicans don't care about the plight of the people, they only care about power and money for themselves and their corporate and political cronies. The Democrats are the same, but they are not as blatant and bad about it as the Republicans. Obama is a pretty slick politician and will use this against them in the election and will have the media on his side to boot. The Republicans may be commiting political suicide as we speak. I remember a while back when Mitch McConnell went on TV and said that job one was to get Obama out of office. That was a very politically stupid thing to to say, to come right out and admit that that is his main concern, instead of saying that putting people back to work, or trying to prevent people from being evicted and whatnot was his main concern. So there is a possibility that they have destroyed themselves with their obstructionism and insensitivity to the plight of the people.
