TFC Commodity Trading Forum

I am a Canadian trader.Having been caught in FM-global bankrupcy, needless to say that I have lost my broker. Nontheless I was reimbursed the amount of my account at the end of November. Now I am shopping for a broker and a trustful firm. Maybe some of you would have answers to a few of my questions.
1. Is a Canadian client's account insured if doing business with a US brokerage firm if this brokerage firm has no business office in Canada?
2. Is there a few reliable and trustful firms that you can refer to me....so that I can start moving forward again. My main objective is to sell naked options.
