SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures added to gains Thursday after a weekly government inventories report showed a higher-than-expected decline in supplies. Natural gas for March delivery (bg12h) rose 4 cents, or 1.9%, to $2.43 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The Energy Information Administration reported a decline of 132 billion cubic feet in the week ended Jan. 27. Analysts polled by Platts had expected a net withdrawal between 123 bcf and 127 bcf.
