.... no, it's nobody's fault, I think it in the forum's nature; some factors are always in play in background:
- like grains, there is a seasonality in participants;
- some are dormant/ lurkers, .. they're there only to pick ideas for their purpose (book, article, system, blog,..);
- some, with age and experience, .. develope 'novel' ideas, .. would be engaged in more profitable activities;
- comparing to scientific community, a forum is inhomogeneous, .... opinions are treated in various scales, .. down to nil;
-.. and at last, few bulls are always there to chase the milker. :)
All adds, .. and makes it difficult to generate a collective/ profitable idea, .. which may keep it alive as it should be expected.
