Texas Red *LINK*

Even though I spent 5 years soaking up the Texas culture, I never once heard of nor tasted "Texas" chili or "Texas Red" chili. Last week my sister brought some guajillo peppers home for me because I had a friend for years who was telling me how to cook, what he called "real" chili.

He looked up a recipe online and said here, this is what I'm talking about, link below.

I looked at it and thought...ehhh, maybe. I wasn't particularly impressed just by looking at the recipe but I must say...that is quite the interesting combination of flavors.

I may have found a new favorite way of doing chili.
