P.S. When you go to look at your scans ask your doctor if you are dealing with a tear or a detachment. If it's a tear they sew the pieces back together at the tear. If it's a detachment they will probably have to put a screw into the bone and then attach the ligament to the screw so it can grow back to the bone. One operation being worse than the other and requiring longer period for recovery...if I'm remembering correctly.
