That's the only way to do it. When I first got started doing this I went down the path of reading everything everyone said about why the market did this or did that, all based on some piece of news. I quickly realized that in this business the old adage of...opinions are like butt holes, everybody has one...did not apply. In this business everybody has at least two butt holes.

It took me, maybe, six months to realize that, then I started down the path of technical analysis. The further I went down the technical path the less I even read about funnymentals...I don't think I have look at funnymental chit in the last, ever how long I've been doing this, less the first six months I wasted on funnymentals.

That's one reason I liked your stuff when I first started studying it...even if you are liberal. :-))
