Re: Book recommendations needed/Wayne

All drunked up and wrapped that sweetheart around a bridge.

Been many of nice ones met that fate.

I'm thinking I had a crane cam in mine at first. Then one day I decided to get a lunati solid lifter cam...grind specifics long since forgotten but it was pretty radical. That, getting the solid lift cam, was the most dramatic change I ever did to that motor. It was like night and day.

Then I had my buddy re-do the Holly. I told him I wanted to suck some gas. When I put it back on and fired it up, I promise it sounded like a tornado. That was a big game changer but not as much as the cam.

I never made an official pass after all that but I'm sure I would have spun those bald assed tires right down the track even better. :-)

One night I was coming home...probably jammin to Dark Side of the Moon on the 8 track. Turned onto race road, as we called it, kicked it in the asss...front end stretched out, snatched second gear so hard the whole car felt like it exploded...split the windshield from the lower right to the upper left. Smack. Best second gear snatch ever. HA!
