Yes, gr8 movie and book etc. lotsa drama like JR Ewing and Dallas TV series.

But they left out the prime 'mover' - the Cause, which led to the Effect.

What's was the Cause? Govt intervention and legislation, that forced the banks to come up with schemes to finance "unfinancables"

so that they could have the illusion of owning a home (even if temporary).

There is no Utopia on earth, esp NOT in this country. U can't create a society with 80-90% home ownership, unless, just like in Singapore,

U give the sheeple the illusion that they are home owners!

The S'pore gubmint loves to tout that the nation has like a 90% home ownership. What a farce! Down payments taken out of one's

CPF retirement fund, then U pay 30 years for a tiny apartment for a 99 yr leased title that reverts back to the gubmint! LOL! What ownership?

It's long term rent! That's all. Never mind crazy rules like , U can't rent it out for til 5 yrs after U bot a 2nd apt, if U could afford one. But I digress.

The point is: There will always be those that cannot afford a home and have to rent for life. Same with Healthcare. That's just the facts.

But thru govt intervention, this idea of the govt provding all whims and fancies and fantasies because we're all entitled to the good life...it doesn't work in

reality. That's why the Constitution states: the Right to PURSUE.... pursue it..there are no guarantees that one will attain it !

That's life and that's the reality.
