of oatmeal raisin cookies and cannon shot...
Tried my hand at baking, for the first time, some raisin oatmeal cookies. Followed the recipe to a T, almost. It said roll the dough in a ball the size of a walnut and place 2 inches apart. What I failed to read further was…and then smash them flat with a fork. Then it said…cook them at 375 for 8-10 minutes. My stove cooks a little hot and I forgot to set it down a little. Then, since the little balled bastards weren’t flattening out any, we thought they needed more cook time. Nope. That forking idea sure would have helped but all is good.
They taste great but their texture lies somewhere between a jaw breaker and a cannon shot.
