Bastard!! *PIC*

I'm 59 and a little. I started using tools when I was little bitty. Hand tools at first as you might imagine a Dad would drop a worm gear skill circular saw in their five year old's hand and say...have at it boy. The first time I used a bastard file I couldn't have been much past 6 or 7. My dad was too tight to ever buy a handle for a file. Said using them without a handle would give me "man hands". Once in Jr. High I used a bastard file with a handle on it. Wow, that's nice. Ever since then I wanted a bastard file with a handle but as I was raised by my father, I too was too cheap to pay two bucks for a Bastard file handle.

My finger was enough better that I decided I better climb back on the lathe and ride again. So I thought...ohhh...I'll make my own handle for my big bastard file.

I turned...I cut...I drove the big bastard into the handle. Even put a ferule on it to make it a bonafide handle.

I held it up to behold...55 years of going without a bastard file handle an I finally got one...are you kidding me!

good grief!!!
