I too have a skunk story.
When I was younger and knew everything worth knowing my friend's dad had a skunk problem at his chicken coop.
The skunk lived under the coop and ate eggs and sometime a chicken.
My knowledgeable solution was....
Put a hose on the cars exhaust and run it under the coop to gas the animal out.
I stood over the skunks well worn path and as he came out from under the chicken house I grabbed him by the nap of the neck and the tail.
Being all stretched out without his feet on the ground he couldn't spray.
As I stood there with a proud look on my face and a skunk in my hands, knowing what a great and noble deed I had done, The old man asked " What ya' gonna do now?"
Well, It worked out without ill effects and I decided not to do that again.
