I look at how different generations respond to the NFL players, mostly of millenial generation, especially the younger ones,
and also how people react to the whole drama playing out.
And I must say, I think it's a generational thing. The generation prior top to the Boomers especially - more and more I see them as 'real Americans' who built
this country up, stood by their principles... etc.
Today, forget it. What's a principle? Stand for what? It's all about "How I feely, this is offensive, that is offensive, what's in it for me, blah blah blah"
I read that Colin Kaepernick is trying to subpoena phone and digital records of the NFL owners to see if there is collusion in not hiring him. Hah!
So what if there was collusion? He sucks as a quarterback anyway! Last I heard, while at work, I can't espouse whatever 'free speech' I want to express, or
lose my job. Case closed. Do it outside of work hours. That's reality.
