I almost always flew to the ground with power on. That was with an plane that had a very good glide ratio. Cessna 185.
I just did it 'cause I liked flying it to the ground. I quit flying when I couldn't get anyone to ride with me ( after my heart attack in the air ).
We landed hard that time. Bent the hell out of my Cessna.
