Back in the late sixties, Big Tobacco applied for, and received, copyright trade name designations for marijuana cigarettes. I believe American Tobacco got one of the best with their "Acapulco Gold".

In Nohio, almost all of the lobbying money, for marijuana legalization, came from two generic drug manufacturing companies ... Not Big Pharma ... the new guys. Of course, rights to grow the stuff ... and sell the stuff ... were/are highly restricted, with licensure being granted to a chosen few. Wonder what "chosen few" have to do with those two drug companies?

Personally, I do not believe that any drug should be illegal or restricted. Legalize it, tax them to the same percentage levels of tobacco cigarettes (depending upon the state .. that's anywhere from around 250% to 900%) ... and just let those desirous of the drugs ... use 'em to their hearts content.

Only thing about the tax, Colorado marijuana purchasers squeal about a 25% tax. Let's see 'em roll in the mud when it's kicked up to the same level as tobacco cigarettes.
