Thank you Sir. Never knew that's what they called that particular string of islands. Makes sense, I suppose, as there is the Marianas Trench just next door. Marianas Trench, I am sure you are aware after spending ten years there, is the deepest part of the ocean.

Always having had a slight problem hearing the spoken word I thought, when I first heard the term, people were saying Maryanna's trench. Thinking further...hmmm, leave it to a bunch of geologist to name some trench after a woman...to imply something about her "deep trench". oy vey! hahaha

Hey...don't blame me...they named some mineral...Cummingtonite. Then there's Subduction zones near Orogenous zones. They started it...got my mind thinking dirt stuff...Maryanna's trench...otay. Got it.
