Yes...very true. That's part of why I am where I am instead of some anti-gun enclave. I don't know if we have stand yer ground per se but judging from what happened I'm sure that would be a justifiable shoot based on the age and size difference...the fact that old man was attacked...attacker did not retreat, making himself a continued threat. Attacker could have been on the old man in a heart beat and easily have beat him to death in short order.

Did you notice the person in the car, woman, I think, did not exit the vehicle until she saw her big man come out the stow. She then felt safe and was going to gang up on the old man. Typical.

I felt bad for the attacker...hate to see anyone lose their life for being a stupid thug...but.

Wonder what the thug was thinking when that bullet hit him in the chest? Bet he was wishing he had not kicked that porcupine.

Another good lesson...notice attacker did no go down on the spot...actually ran all the way back inside...no telling how long it took him to die. Lesson being...if you got to shoot, shoot a lot. :-)
