Coal is still USA best power source. There's even an old coal mine in NC within 30 miles of me in the foothills. Coal is a prepper's dream.. You can bring in a rail car and have it delivered to your backyard via truck and it does not go bad like kerosene, etc.. For hundreds of years, it will retain its properties. just sitting there.
