Re: you weenies on strike or sumthin...

Hi, Doc. I wouldn't be too concerned about having enough lines or following enough indicators. The very best "upstairs" (off-floor) trader that I ever met kept pure charts. Even though computer generated charts were used by many around him, he continued to draw all of his charts by hand. He never put so much as a trendline on his charts. I believe I saw him, once, laying down a straight edge on a chart, but I don't know for what reason. He only kept daily and weekly charts ... On them he charted the open, high, low, and settle. He also kept point and figure charts. He followed bullish consensus, but nothing else but a pure and clean chart. I saw him turn over a million dollars, on one trade, starting the campaign out with only five caks. Quite frequently, he would not even be in the market. He never traded spreads, just outright positions. All that I can remember is that I never wanted to be on the other side of the market that he was on. And, that was hard to figure out as, outside of some comment, never really talked about what he was doing. The only time that he'd talk about any position was when he had none .... and that was well over half of the time. The only reason that I knew about that one trade (formerly referenced) is that I caught a glimpse of his equity run ... I was floored.
