Hi, Doc. Because beans be beans and corn be corn.

You should readily recall the 1984 market wherein corn rallied and beans went into a downtrend. The only part of the soy complex that had strength was oil. Meal was tanking and outright beans were inching lower, day by day.

Beans be beans and corn be corn.
