Greetings,
Trading for over a decade now, mostly day trading the e-mini and short term trading major futures. Having a technical background, I could relate to technical analysis when I was first introduced to this method of trading back in 1979. Over the years I have studied various methods and aside from courses in the wolf wave and andrews medium line, I have found most were poor and offered little value.
In the past 5 years I have embarked on a different method of trading by taking my technical background and applying it to the markets. What I have found is that the markets really do have a unique order and operate under principles that are scientifically based.
My favorite illustration of how the market works is that it is like the ocean and that it operates much like the waves and tides of the oceans. Although it appears chaotic, it still opeates under simple laws of physics.
I have written several ebooks that highlight these views and the methods that I use and make them available to a few on a CD.
I live on the east coast of the United States in a rural section of Maryland called Calvert county that is mostly forested rolling hills and faces the Chesapeake bay. In fact, I live just a few hundred feet from the Chesapeake bay and regularly enjoy many of the blessings that this area has to offer. I have a habit of taking time off from trading and spending time with my wonderful wife that I have been married to for 21 years and my three beautiful daughters. (Can you blame me for taking time off to spend with four beautiful women?)
I love trading, but it is not first in my life. I believe that God should come first, then family. What follows after that is still secondary no matter how great it may seem.
When trading ceases to be fun, then I will cease trading.
But for now, I enjoy not only trading but helping others to become successful traders as well. To new traders, the first thing that I can recommend is this: Most of what you read and hear about trading will be wrong, a blantant lie and fools gold. Yes, trading can make you rich, but it is a long hard road to reach to this level. You have to rise to a point of understanding the market that exceeds even the gurus that you may admire because most of these gurus are simply getting rich off of selling their wares.
The secret lies in understanding the chart as a whole and the subtle actions it makes. But learning its language is as difficult to learn as any language is.
To all, I hope your trading will bring you many blessings and that you will bring blessings to many others.
