In Response To: The End Of American Capitalism? (Firewood)

Won't ve time to read the article now, but quick feel is that unless the Capital ends capitalism cannot end.

Exxon Mobil has $40 billion cash stash...how many more oilies r there....and I m talking about the assets of any that re eyed by Chinese and Abu-Dhabi/Dubai or UAEmirates...

Its a long way my friends for Capitalism to end rather its going to spread to China and India where the gap between rich and poor will increase as the exporters outa there will squeeze more and more outa available plenty labor to defend their share of US market, and will be joined by keen, competitive US importer to assist them. The big guys there will pocket what the poor will sacrifice and we will enjoy here tools for $2.50 that we paid $7.50 for at Sears desk, trusting Craftsman.
[My neighbor's craftsman lawnmower now refuses to start...just after 6 months of purchase. Suggetsed to him to buy a used one for $50, he did for $60....and oy IS he happy.].

THAT wall between rich and poor, maynot widen here in US or Europe but in China and India IT will bring upheavels due to other political repressions, corruptions and injustice.
The mason in India is still available for $6/day and a labourer lifting bricks and mortar $ $4/day.....and plent of homes worth $400,000 to accomodate/house the rich who love to live like Maharaja's ...their dream of life, and surround themselves with servants and drivers...
