Natural-gas futures add to gains after EIA report (by Claudia Assis)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural gas futures climbed a bit after a weekly inventories report showed a bigger-than-anticipated decline for the product in storage. Natural gas for February delivery added 8 cents, or 2%, to $4.56 per million British thermal units, a penny higher than before the Energy Information Administration report. The EIA showed a decline of 135 billion cubic feet of the product for the week ended Dec. 31. Analysts polled by Platts had expected a decline of 127 to 131 billion cubic feet for the week.
