Not really sure what you are asking or wanting to know.
But if you want to know what is better or at least easier, less risk with more profit potential?

Then of course stock-etf options.

Even with the BIG moves in the metals, Ags, and most other commodities. One could do better with just an average general move in some stocks-etfs.

I am one who says. You have to trade what you like and have tested that suits your trading.
So basicly trade what you KNOWS does good for YOU!

But once you get ahead and just trade, without spending lots of time with charts. Maybe take some of your free time and look into stocks.
