Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 2 to 4 Lower as of 7:15 a.m. CST
22 minutes ago
Corn: Old-crop corn rallied well off session lows and held up well in comparison to the other grains. The late rally was sparked by strong commercial buying.
Soybeans: Heavy noncommercial long-liquidation led to sharp losses in beans. Selling was sparked by record projections for Brazilian production and another large cancellation Tuesday morning.
Wheat: Strong selling from the noncommercial side pulled contracts at all three exchanges to 30-plus-cent losses. Given the bearish near-term fundamentals, additional downside potential exists.
Live Cattle: Commercial buying offset noncommercial pressure as cattle contracts posted modest losses Tuesday.
Cotton: Despite the sell-off Tuesday for commodities in general, the cotton market rebounded from the previous day's setback.
