As far as the 45 degree angled trendlines go yes you are correct in what a technical analyst told me years ago that he used. He found a significant low and from that point drew an angled uptrendline from that low at a 45 degree angle into the future and that's all he respected if and when price touched it as you suggested I meant. It's not something I try to do but I never forgot it and it dawned on me that many uptrending markets seem to go up at this angle. I never came up with this idea and don't try to use it but it did make me think looking at a bunch of markets. And then Doc wondered if it was the same thing in reverse with downtrendlines at that same 45 degree angle from a top. I suspect so but don't know. That's why I asked Wayne if it was a Gann angle that does repeat as I wouldn't know.
