Assuming I understand where you are coming from with your comment .....

I think the US is walking pretty close to "quick sand" on a lot of this.

Objecting to Libyan style bombing/killing of protesters (preferably via the UN) is one thing. But public position taking may lead to something that we "don't like" i.e. "better be careful what you wish for" !!!!

Saudi's offer to pump more oil, and then we try to tell them they should change their form of government !! I think not !!

If a number of these countries wind up drifting to an Iranian style Muslim government we have big problems.

I haven't seen China, Japan, Russia commenting on what is going on .... have you ??? Even Europe ???

Not that I have a lot of confidence in the UN, but I think we should keep our spoon out of the soup and let the "world wide community" deal with it in concert.

My thoughts, and maybe I haven't read enough on the subject.
