Well, i'd think it would all depend on the individual. If it was a rich dude that had acquired a commodity speculation addiction then yeah he would probably continue to trade whether he needed the money or not. I know if I was to suddenly acquire a large sum of money, I would probably trade much more, and more aggressively than I do now. Take George Soros for example, he's a multi-billionaire and doesen't really need more money but he still trades currencies just for the fun of it.
