I haven't read all the posts/threads but I do hope no one takes this "supermoon" stuff seriously. The graviational consequences can be measured in a few % (2 or 3) and the only geophysical consequence is going to be a few higher tide that will be serious only if there is a storm in the right location to create waves on top of the spring tide that might cause a little flooding. The only location this *might* happen is Halifax, Nova Scotia, tomorrow. Nowhere else in North America will be subject to a coastal storm for the rest of the week.
