Private payrolls up 201,000 in March: ADP (by Greg Robb)
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - Companies in the U.S. private sector added 201,000 jobs in March, according to Automatic Data Processing Inc's employment report released Wednesday. The reading was in line with analyst expectations. Job gains in February were revised down slightly to 208,000 from the initial estimate of a rise of 217,000. According to ADP, the goods-producing sector added 13,000 jobs in March. The manufacturing sector also added 37,000 jobs. The service sector added 164,000 jobs.
