Australia's RBA keeps key rate at 4.75% (by Sarah Turner)
SYDNEY (MarketWatch) -- The Reserve Bank of Australia kept its key rate on hold at 4.75% on Tuesday, as widely expected. The RBA said in a statement alongside its decision that "the current mildly restrictive stance of monetary policy remained appropriate in view of the general macroeconomic outlook." The Australian dollar traded down 0.3% at $1.0319 after the decision.
